The OnePlus Nord 2 gets two years of major Android upgrades (Android 12 and Android 13) and three years of security patches.

Latest OnePlus Nord 2 updates
April 20, 2022: OnePlus rolls out the April Update for the Nord 2. Numbered as Oxygen OS A.20 (as noted by XDA developers), the update brings the April 2022 Android security patches. It also fixes a number of bugs , including one that caused abnormal screen activity during Facebook video calls. However, Android 12 is still missing from the device, with OnePlus’ promise of H1 2022 becoming less and less likely.

Previous OnePlus Nord 2 updates
March 11, 2022: OnePlus rolls out the A19 update for Oxygen OS 11 on the OnePlus Nord 2. It brings the February 2022 security patch and a series of bug fixes. However, it did not bring any new features. December 28, 2021: OnePlus will roll out an update to the Nord 2 at the end of December. Numbered Oxygen OS A.15, the update brings camera and Bluetooth performance improvements and fixes to a few “known issues”. The December 2021 Android security patch is also included. December 9, 2021: Oxygen OS A.14 rolled out with the November 2021 Android security patch and general stability improvements. November 16, 2021: A new unannounced update is being rolled out to the OnePlus Nord 2. Spotted by XDA developers and reported by a user on the OnePlus forums, Oxygen OS A.13/A.12 for India/Europe weighs about 645 MB and brings more pinches and creases to the mid-range device. Curiously, as indicated by XDA and a screenshot from OnePlus Updater, the European patch includes the October 2021 Android security patch, not the November update scheduled for the Indian release. October 11, 2021: Oxygen OS A.11 brought several system changes, improved HDR effects for pixel peepers, and “optimized network stability”. The September 2021 Android security patch was also included. August 30, 2021: Oxygen OS 11.3.1.10 included power optimization for games, improved the Nord 2’s face unlock system, and included the August 2021 Android security patch.
