Email a Google Doc in Gmail
Since Google Docs and Gmail belong to the same family, you can easily send documents through Gmail from either service.
From Google Docs, open the document you want to send, then click File -> Email -> Email this file. You will then be prompted to enter the recipient’s email address and a message, and select the file type.

You can also quickly send a Google Doc to multiple Gmail accounts at once by clicking File -> Share and adding people or groups.

Be sure to edit the sharing permissions to control how others access your documents. For example, viewers can see the document and open any file in it. The same goes for commenters, but they can also add comments, as the name suggests. Finally, Editors have the most freedom to make additions to the document and to remove elements from the document or even remove them altogether.
To send a Google Doc from Gmail, start by composing an email from the app. Then tap the paperclip icon and select Insert from Drive. In case you didn’t know, any Google docs you save will be stored in that Google account’s Drive.

Select My Drive if you own the document you want to send. Otherwise, select Shared with me if you don’t own the document.

Attach a Google Doc to an email
First you need to download the document to your computer or mobile device. To download a Google document, click File -> Download and select the file type in which you want to save the document.

From there, you can find the file through the attachment settings on your email client. For example, in the Apple Mail app, click the paperclip icon at the top to insert a document into your message.

Select the Google Doc you want to send from your files and click Choose File in the bottom right corner of the window.
