— Nicholas Merriam steps down as chief engagement officer of sea.citi.
Launched in 2018, Sea.citi is led by some of the largest technology companies in the Seattle area. It wants to connect employees in the technical sector with social life. It focuses on issues such as housing affordability, climate change, transportation infrastructure, and digital justice. The Sea.citi member companies represent more than 85,000 local employees.
Merriam, co-founder of sea.citi, said he will join Housing Connector, a Seattle nonprofit that seeks to create equal opportunities for the region’s most vulnerable tenants.
“Building and growing sea.citi from concept to a respected tech impact brand has been a deeply rewarding experience for me, one that will define the rest of my career,” Merriam wrote in a letter.
Before joining sea.citi, Merriam was the director of Global Impact Hub.
Abigail Doerr, public affairs and campaign advisor for AD Consulting, will serve as interim CEO.
