How to disable annoying YouTube autoplay thumbnails on Android

YouTube logo.

Android: YouTube now shows video previews in the Home panel, which consumes data and is otherwise just annoying. Fortunately, you can disable them.

First, tap your profile picture in the top right corner, then tap Settings > General.

Go to the General section in the Settings.

Now go to “Play in Feeds” and select “Off” from the menu.

Disable playback in feeds.

Thanks to my friend Nancy Messieh from MakeUseOf for pointing this out to me.
