A new Diablo game will be released later this year for iPad, iPhone and Android devices, featuring a brand new story, competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes, and controller support.
“Diablo Immortal” was first announced at Blizzcon 2018 and takes place between the events of “Diablo II” and “Diablo III”. It has a brand new story that re-releases characters in Sanctuary. Players must work together to stop Skarn, the Herald of Terror, from resurrecting Diablo.
“The Diablo Immortal team is proud to create the opportunity for additional battle-ready adventurers to fight and overcome the deadly demonic forces of Skarn,” a Blizzard statement read. “We can’t wait for you to kill, loot and explore in Sanctuary once Diablo Immortal launches!”
Blizzard has revealed that if the game reaches 30 million pre-orders, the “Horadrim Cosmetic set” will be unlocked for all players. It can be redeemed if the player completes the tutorial within 30 days of the game’s release.
“Can’t wait to take on the demonic hordes?” Read Apple’s App Store Preview. “Pre-order Diablo Immortal to have it automatically downloaded to your iPhone or iPad when it comes out later this year.”
According to Apple, “Diablo Immortal” will allow players to play as their favorite character classes, such as Barbarian, Necromancer, Demon Hunter, and more. The game also features controller support, never-before-seen locations, and a steady influx of new content to keep players coming back.
In addition, there will be cooperative and competitive game modes, allowing players to work together in dungeons and against each other in player-vs-player confrontations.
